Thank You For Shopping with Tips for Kids

We envision a world where kids from all walks of life have the opportunity to know the joy of riding a bike and the freedom to explore the natural world on two wheels. Our mission is to provide transformative cycling experiences through a network of chapters that promote healthy, recreational lifestyles, environmental awareness, and personal empowerment for young people of all communities, especially those most in need.

Founded over 30 years ago, Trips for Kids has introduced the joy of cycling to over 230,000 kids. We have a growing network of community chapters and are now the largest bicycle-based positive youth development program in North America. We serve 25,000 youth annually, ages 10-17, in communities of all sizes throughout the country, from the tiniest towns to America’s largest cities.

Your purchases from the Online ReCyclery help make this possible.

This is what people are saying

“The harsh reality is that many of our program participants come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Without Trips for Kids many of our students would not have the opportunity to ride a bike, let alone learn bike safety and repair...As a result, students do a better job of focusing on their homework and participating in other programs.”

Director of Operations, Boys and Girls Club

“I really enjoyed bike riding with Trips for Kids. Trips for Kids taught me how to ride mountain bike, which was hard at first then I got the hang of it. Trips for Kids also taught me that if you push yourself you can do anything you want to do in life."

Riley, Trips for Kids Ride Program Participant

“Everyone at Trips for Kids was there to help. I work at Firestone and started out as a technician, just working with my hands again, something I knew about growing up with the Earn-a-Bike Program. The program gave me access to a skilled trade and soon after I built my way up and now I’m [the] manager at Firestone.”
